Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Metrology Technician to join our team for the 2nd shift. As a Metrology Technician, you will work in a developmental role within the same department as our diamond turning technicians. Your primary responsibilities will include performing precise measurements of optical lenses, gathering and reporting data, and operating a CMM machine in a clean room lab environment.

Responsibilities

Diamond Turning Typical Day:

•\tPerform set ups on diamond turning cnc machines

•\tWill align parts of the machine

•\tWill run and inspect the same parts reputedly

•\tWill load the machine and take parts out of the machine

•\tWill follow detailed work instructions

•\tWill perform detailed documentation in a share point document

•\tWill assist in other parts of the clean room lab

•\tWill be trained how to run the machine

•\tJob will be extremely repetitive

•\tWill utilize calipers, micrometers and gauges for measurement

•\tWill need to calculate math for conversions of fractions to decimals etc.

•\tParts they are running will plastic sheets that are very precise

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1.\tMust have HS Diploma or GED

2.\tMust have experience performing very repetitive work and tasks

3.\tMust have high attention to detail

4.\tMust have experience with data entry and experience utilizing a computer

5. Experience within manufacturing and operating a machine is preferred but not a must have

Work Environment

You will work in a clean room lab environment with three other employees. The temperature is a constant 68 degrees, which can feel cold due to the airflow needed for machine calibration. The lab is well-lit for quality inspection. You can wear sweatshirts and listen to music while working, and steel toe boots are not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00
