Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting bars of steel with an automated saw, loading materials with a crane, inputting size specifications into the machine, verifying sizes, and offloading cut bars onto pallets using a crane. 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) for training then will move to 2nd Shift ( 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) If interested in this position, then please apply today and an Aerotek Recruiter will reach out within 24-48 hours.
ResponsibilitiesPerform various tasks including cleaning the shop, polishing welds, building crates, counting inventory, and moving items through the shop.Operate automated saw to cut bars of steel.Load materials using a crane.Input size specifications into the machine.Verify the size of cut bars.Offload cut bars onto pallets using a crane.Essential Skills
Experience with machine operation, specifically in metals.Experience with operating a saw. Proficiency with hand and power tools.Ability to measure and read a tape measure.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a fabrication or metalworking shop is a plus.Interest in growing into a machinist or welder role is advantageous.Work EnvironmentOur manufacturing floor is very clean, organized, spacious, quiet, and well-lit. Currently, the team consists of about 15 members, with plans to grow to 25 by the end of the year.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
