Job Description
Seeking an entry-level position in the Semiconductor industry on a 1st shift, M-F 6am-2:30pm? Join a growing company in the semiconductor space as a Machine Operator! This role involves work both inside and outside of the cleanroom environment. Candidates will be working within a clean room to manufacture gas weldments for their gas panels. They will also be operating an orbital welding machine, which is very simple to operate. The main function is setting up the machinery and pressing a button. They will do some mechanical inspection once the piece comes off the machine. In addition, outside of the cleanroom, they will operate a saw (tube cutting) machine.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate an orbital welding machine.Perform mechanical inspections on finished pieces.Operate a saw (tube cutting) machine outside of the cleanroom.Read and interpret prints and work orders.Use measuring devices such as calipers and high gauges.Perform Asymmetric Views Rolling, with training provided.Essential Skills1+ year of recent experience in a manufacturing role, preferably machine operating or quality inspections.Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.Ability to read prints or work orders.Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and high gauges.Verified reliability.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Mechanically inclined.Why Work Here?

They offer a good working environment and a 10% shift differential for 2nd shift with double time pay on Sundays. The weldments department is a key product line with consistent demand, ensuring job stability.
Work Environment
Candidates will be working within the weldments department with a team of about 10-15 people. They will also be working within a clean room, so they must be comfortable wearing smocks. The current shift is 1st shift, 6am-2:30pm, M-F. Must be open to working in the future and occasional Saturdays as well. Eventually, the company may open up a 2nd shift for this department.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00
