**Machine Operator / Press Brake** **1st & 2nd Shift Available** **Batavia, IL** **Overview** You will be running a press brake machine to bend the parts to the correct angles. The machines will be set up for the production run, so you will just need to be able to line the part up in the machine and run it to create the bend in the part. You will then look at the blueprint and measure to ensure the quality of the parts that they are producing. 90% of the job will be on the press brake, but other duties can include doing assembly of products and running other machinery in the plant (sand blaster, automatic welder, laser). 1st and 2nd shift is available. Pay rates range $22/hr - $24/hr. If interested in this position, then please apply today and an Aerotek Recruiter will reach out within 24-48 hours. **Responsibilities** + Operate the press brake machine to bend parts to correct angles. + Align parts in the machine for production runs. + Refer to blueprints and measure parts to ensure quality. + Perform assembly of products as needed. + Operate other machinery in the plant, including sand blaster, automatic welder, and laser. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of operating a press brake. + Experience with Bystronic Press Brake machines would be a huge plus. + Experience reading blueprints. + Proficiency using measuring tools, micrometer, and calipers. + Inspection experience. **Shifts Available** 1st Shift: 6 AM to 2:30 PM (Monday through Friday - OT After the shift and Saturdays Optional) 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 1 AM (Monday through Thursday - OT Fridays Optional) **Work Environment** The company is not temperature controlled. It gets warm in the hot summer months, especially near the paintline. The rest of the plant has mild conditions and is a standard manufacturing floor. There is noise from the machines, but it isn't overly loud. It is a metal fabrication environment, so it is somewhat dirty but not excessively so. Overall, it offers fairly average working conditions. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
