Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery that cuts large coils of metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and steel into smaller coils or large sheets. Our facility operates as a Union shop, and after 90 days, you will join the Union. **Responsibilities** + Operate machinery to cut large metal coils into smaller coils or sheets. + Use a forklift and overhead crane to load and transport metal coils. + Start by performing packing duties, which involve placing metal onto crates for loading. + Ensure all metal pieces are properly packaged and ready for shipment. + Participate in cross-training to learn various machine operations. + Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. **Essential Skills** + Past experience in manufacturing. + Willingness to work required shifts. + Comfortable working in a metal manufacturing environment with large metal coils. + Basic English knowledge (Bi-lingual acceptable). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with machine setup. + Experience working with metal coils. + Experience working in a Union environment. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a competitive starting pay with scheduled increases. The environment includes machinery for cutting metal coils and a carpentry shop for crating products. Heavy lifting is minimized, with anything over 50 lbs. handled by team members or machinery. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
