**Now Hiring Machine Operator in York, PA** Pay: $20-22/hr Must be comfortable in a GMP environment **Job Description** We are currently looking to hire machine operators at our production facility specializing in cookies and other snack products. This role involves making and packaging products to be ready for shipment. **Responsibilities** + Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment to bag and/or box finished products. + Ensure all food safety and quality protocols are followed. + Maintain proper weights, quality requirements, and perform equipment checks/tests. + Assist in the tear down and assembly of bagger scales and conveyors. + Comply with all GMP requirements. + Perform metal detector checks as required. + Troubleshoot and correct basic equipment problems. + Ensure all code dates are correct. + Complete film changes on bagging machines and load boxes into packaging machines. + Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and submit to supervisor. + Monitor the equipment for maintenance-related items and escalate when appropriate. + Report operational issues to supervision. + Assist with changeovers and machine setups. + Disassemble and properly clean baggers and scales. + Perform data entry according to established process control procedures and product specifications. + Perform all appropriate Quality and Food Safety testing and documentation as required. **Essential Skills** + Ability to work well with others and foster a team atmosphere. + Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times. + Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. + Ability to read and record written instructions. + Ability to work independently. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Some manufacturing experience in a food plant is helpful. + Training in LOTO procedures. + Attention to detail. + Skills in machine operation, troubleshooting, machine setup, and machine calibration. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.81 - $20.75 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
