Our client in the Chicopee, MA area is looking to hire a Machine Operator for their location. The ideal candidate will need to understand the basics of machine mechanics and how to handle tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers. Responsibilities for this position include feeding raw materials (mostly aluminum or steel) into machines as needed.

The Day-to-Day:

Operate machines to produce parts within specified tolerances.Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of machines.Report major machine issues to maintenance personnel.Help unload raw materials, steel and/or aluminum, from delivery trucks.

Qualifications:

High School DiplomaAbility to closely monitor production processes and identify quality issues.Ability to learn the proper use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions.Must be able to lift 40 pounds to assist in unloading deliveries.

Pay Rate/Shifts:

$17.00 to $22.00 /hr8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
