Job Description
Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of presses up to 75-ton capacity, manual lathes, and other equipment to produce deep draw formed products to specifications.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate a variety of presses up to 75-ton capacity.Operate manual lathes and other equipment to produce deep draw formed products.Read schematics and drawings.Use a tape measure for precise measurements.Operate press shop equipment including specialized manual lathes, air, pedestal, centerless grinders, belt and disc sanders, forklifts, and wood saws.Setup and operate Level B press shop equipment such as hydraulic presses up to 75 tons, parts washers, vibratory machines, and other cleaning equipment.Operate foot shears, both manual and air-powered.Setup and operate die sets.Use precision measuring hand tools to verify conformance of parts to specifications.Visually identify defects in products.Build wood shipping containers.Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMachine operationForklift operationAssemblyGeneral laborProductionHand tool usageTroubleshootingMechanical skillsBlueprint readingTape measure usagePress brake operationAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Previous lead or supervisor experience for higher pay rates.Ability to read schematics and drawings.Experience in setup and operation of die sets.Use of precision measuring hand tools.Capability to visually identify defects.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes operating various machines such as hydraulic presses, manual lathes, grinders, sanders, forklifts, and wood saws. You will be required to maintain a clean and safe work area. The role may involve lifting up to 50 lbs and working with precision measuring tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
