**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are currently seeking three Forklift Operators in Portland, ME. In this role, you will operate sit-down forklifts, pick and pack various orders and materials. This position is in a refrigerated environment, so you must be comfortable working in the cold. Additional duties include inventory counts, inspections, and general labor as needed. **Responsibilities** + Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials and orders. + Pick and pack various orders and materials. + Conduct inventory counts and inspections. + Perform general labor tasks as needed. + Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures. **Essential Skills** + Previous forklift experience (6+ months). + Comfortable working in a refrigerated/freezer environment. + Ability to lift 40+ lbs. + Proficient in using computers and basic inventory systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong attention to detail. + Good communication and teamwork skills. + Ability to work independently and efficiently. **Why Work Here?** We offer brand new equipment and you will be one of the first three hires, providing ample room for growth as the operations expand. **Work Environment** This role is based in a cold storage environment with temperatures of 32 degrees in some areas and -10 degrees in the freezer. PPE is provided for temperature control, and the forklift in the freezer has a heated cabin maintained at approximately 50 degrees. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 am. **Job Location** Portland, Maine. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
