**Job Title: Machine Operator | $19.75hr-$22hr | Benefits Included**
**Job Description**
The Machine Operator will possess a working knowledge and experience with labeler operations, ensuring smooth production by watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent downtime. The role involves performing filler and filler line changeovers safely and efficiently, making necessary adjustments, and preparing equipment for subsequent runs. The Machine Operator will analyze process data and equipment performance to improve quality and throughput, monitor product weights, seals, caps, and general packaging, prepare case labels, and review product labels for accuracy.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate labeler equipment, watching for jams and threading wrap to prevent downtime.
+ Perform filler and filler line changeovers safely and efficiently.
+ Make adjustments to filler timing and filling, and check mat as needed.
+ Prepare equipment for subsequent runs, including size changes.
+ Analyze process and equipment performance data to improve quality and throughput.
+ Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of products.
+ Prepare case labels and ensure product labels are accurate.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years of machine operating experience.
+ 6+ months of tape measure experience.
+ 6+ months of computer operation experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working on cars or other equipment (including lube techs).
+ Mechanically inclined with experience in blending, packaging, and inspection.
+ Ability to use hand tools and perform packing and mechanical tasks.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a manufacturing and production environment, which may involve exposure to high/precarious places, moving machinery, temperature and humidity changes, dust, odors, and fumes. The environment is loud. Blending positions require outdoor work year-round, climbing on railcars, and attaching large hoses to railcars. Packaging positions are indoor, with hot conditions in the summer and normal temperatures in the winter. Responsibilities include inspecting packaging machines, making minor adjustments, and performing lockout/tagout procedures. You will be part of a team of about 90 people on each shift. The dress code includes shorts or jeans, a clean work shirt, and steel toe (or composite) shoes. Various shifts are available: A/B Shift (6:45 am - 6:45 pm), C/D Shift (6:45 pm - 6:45 am), Days (6:30 am - 3:00 pm Mon-Fri), Nights (10:30 pm - 7:00 am Sun-Thurs), and Mids (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Mon-Fri). Shift differentials are $1.50 for mids and $1.75 for nights.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
