**Job Description** Aerotek is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our automotive manufacturing client in **Gananoque** ! The ideal candidate will be responsible to set up and operate a cold thread machine to create fasteners for major automotive clients in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering materials, setting up the machine, running and monitoring it, and ensuring the products meet quality standards. You will also work on various machines in the shop depending on the monthly orders. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate cold thread machines such as Formax, Menn, and Carlo Salvi. + Gather materials and prepare the machine for production. + Run and monitor the machine to ensure optimal performance. + Move products to the quality control area and then to the next stage. + Work on different machines in the shop as required by monthly orders. + Assess material flow and make necessary adjustments. + Read and interpret basic production guides. + Maintain a clean and organized workstation. **Essential Skills** + Experience in machine operation, production, and mechanical aptitude. + Previous experience using manual machines for creating fasteners, nuts, bolts, or small components. + Ability to set up, run, and monitor machines. + General mechanical aptitude to assess and fix material flow issues. + Ability to read basic production guides. + High school diploma required. + Ability to work in a production setting with a team of 10 people. + Experience in the automotive industry is a plus but not required. **Job Details** + 6 month contract, opportunity to go permanent with the company after completion. + Competitive pay rates up to $27/hour based on experience. + Located in **Gananoque** , less than 20 mins drive from Kingston. **Reliable transportation required.** + Unionized environment, growth opportunities offered. + Work is done in a machine shop, with five different machines.
