Machine Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Operator with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in machine operations to join our team. This role involves working with various types of bending equipment to fabricate sheet metal components, supporting the production process from raw materials to finished products. The ideal candidate will wear multiple hats on the floor, relieve current staff pressure, and ensure high-quality output.

ResponsibilitiesOperate press brakes and other bending equipment to fabricate sheet metal components.Perform general fabrication tasks, including cutting, forming, inserting hardware, spot welding, and assembly of metal parts.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production.Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company policies.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment and fabrication processes as needed.Keep accurate records of production activities and report any discrepancies or concerns.Essential SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude.Good computer skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Prior machine operating experience.Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.).Work Environment

The schedule is from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The shop is very clean, well-lit, and equipped with top-of-the-line machines in a relatively quiet environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
