**Job Title: Paper Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
Set up and operate a machines to complete product to customer standards. Working as a general production worker assembling and getting final products ready to be shipped out efficiently.
**Responsibilities**
+ Run the press efficiently, consistently meeting or exceeding production standards for make-ready, run, and wash-up while maintaining quality and waste specifications.
+ Review job ticket information and previous job history to properly set up and convert orders.
+ Mount specified plates and printing dies, install rollers, and adjust roller stripes.
+ Control and maintain quality specifications during press running mode, following established procedures to ensure consistent adjustments.
+ Participate in customer approvals of new projects and primary labeling as needed.
+ Support product safety requirements such as ink and substrate traceability, clean changeover, thorough curing, and chemical identification and control.
+ Ensure tools and supplies are properly maintained, checking that all tooling is correct and in good condition before going to press.
+ Ensure that tooling is properly cleaned and stored after a job has run.
+ Ensure that clean-up and screen cleaning is charged to the job it was run on as needed.
+ Perform required maintenance and daily housekeeping on the press and surrounding areas.
+ Inform supervisor in a timely manner when a repair is needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to think through the mechanical aspects of press operations and decision-making.
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
+ Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
+ Ability to solve problems involving several variables in un-standardized situations.
+ Effective time management skills to handle multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines.
+ Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
+ Ability to tactfully communicate with customers and employees of all levels within the company.
+ Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
+ High levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with blueprint reading, drill press, mill, and machine operation.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
