**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated Packaging Machine Operators to join our team. We have multiple openings available for different shifts, including weekdays, weeknights, and second shifts. The role involves technical operation, set-up, basic adjustments, and maintaining performance levels for all packaging and candy making equipment. Your work will be under the direction of a Production Supervisor or Lead Person and will contribute significantly to our department's production and the overall success of the company.
**Responsibilities**
+ Correlate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.
+ Perform packaging and processing operations.
+ Maintain clear and positive communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.
+ Follow company established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to assure product quality.
+ Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.
+ Maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery, and perform specified cleaning at the end of product run and shift.
+ Oversee the production workers' end-of-shift sanitation duties.
+ Offer suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.
+ Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks as assigned.
+ Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as requested.
+ Maintain flexibility to perform any other duties as needed, such as production worker in various roles.
**Essential Skills**
+ Fundamental knowledge to read work-related material and follow directions.
+ Working knowledge of assigned areas, acquired through 1-4 years of applicable experience.
+ Understanding of mechanical components and/or electronic controls of the equipment.
+ Knowledge of chocolate composition and function and/or troubleshooting.
+ Positive and effective verbal/written communication skills.
+ Mental ability to perform as a team member and support co-workers, company policy, and production standards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Production/Manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours per day.
+ Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
+ Ability to see information in print form and/or electronically.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.
+ Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.

**Work Environment**
The work environment requires PPE, including ear plugs, safety-toed shoes, jacket, and hair/beard nets. The facility is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, though not climate-controlled. Most products include well-known brands, and you will work in a setting similar to other leading processes.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $41600.00/yr.
