Job Title: Machine Operator ($19/hr.+)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our 2nd shift. This is a contract-to-hire position with a duration of 520 hours. Training will be provided on the 1st shift for a few weeks before transitioning to the 2nd shift. The working hours will be from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with some variation.

ResponsibilitiesSet equipment off-line, including setups, changeovers, and first-off inspectionsConduct first-off inspections of all products run on the lineUtilize all tools for inspection and measurementOperate roll form machines after trainingDrive a forklift and load trucksPerform inventory countsRead blueprints and setup instructionsConduct quality inspectionsOperate an overhead craneDocument parts that are inspected by handFill out inspection reports with a high level of detailFollow lockout/tagout proceduresPerform basic and advanced math calculations, including converting fractions to decimals and reading metricsAssist in shipping and warehouse dutiesParticipate in a non-departmentalized work environment where cross-training is commonEssential SkillsAbility to read a tape measure and blueprints or work instructionsHigh attention to detail and experience with documentationAt least 1 year of machine operating and setup experienceWillingness to work 10-hour shiftsPossession of steel toe bootsMechanical aptitude, including the ability to operate a tow motor and overhead craneAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with calipers and micrometersAbility to follow detailed setup notes and instructionsFamiliarity with quality inspection proceduresWhy Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
