Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Machine Operator. This role involves inspecting and packaging products as they come off the press, maintaining and cleaning press equipment, and supporting press operators to maximize productivity. This position requires a commitment to learning and growing within our company, with opportunities for advancement to more skilled roles. **Responsibilities** + Inspect product as it comes off the press at maximum speeds. + Package product as it comes off the press at maximum speeds. + Wash and maintain ink pumps, ink trays, and chamber blade units. + Clean and lubricate portable press accessories such as fanfolders, sheeter tables, and turret rewinders. + Clean the presses and press areas. + Assist press operators in wash-up and set-up. + Cut cores. + Perform general pressroom housekeeping. + Complete any other tasks as requested by the Press Operator or Supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical inclination and hand dexterity. + Ability to read and write. + Basic computer skills (input and read data). + Stamina to stand all day and perform essential tasks. + Ability to lift 25-30 lbs. + Desire to grow and advance within the company. + High school diploma or GED. + Manufacturing experience. + Machine operating experience. + Experience with set-ups and adjustments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Flexographic machine operating experience (preferred). + Willingness to work with the company long-term (5-10 years). **Why Work Here?** Join our team and receive in-depth training on Flexographic Machines, with the opportunity to become a certified pressman earning competitive wages. The area is loud when all the press machines are running, so ear plugs are provided. The facility is climate-controlled with machines in rows, producing labels and tags of various sizes and styles. The owner and his son are actively involved in production, and they know every operator's name. Advancement opportunities are available through learning to operate new machinery, leading to roles such as press operator levels A, B, and C, and eventually into lead positions. **Job Type & Location** This is a permanent position based out of Libertyville, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
