Job Description
We are seeking a Machine Operator focused on the setup and operation of commercial label inspector machines, including visual quality control. The operator will handle equipment to slit continuous lengths of printed material into strips of specified width.
ResponsibilitiesReceive job assignments from Press Supervisor or Team Lead and read job specifications to select correct dies, cores, and rewind method for the job.Review job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed.Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products.Observe the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting and winding.Ensure the quality of work including color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped.Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs.Perform preventative maintenance on machines.Remove or replace blades on inspection machines.Complete paperwork for each job and package finished goods for shipment to customers.Essential SkillsExperience with machine operation.Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement devices.Ability to stand regularly and walk frequently.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance.Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with laser CNC/cutting machine operation.Experience with CNC, manual machinists, or any machine operation requiring a high level of attention to detail.1+ year of related experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is in a manufacturing environment, located in a large facility in Mukilteo. The shift is an overnight rotating schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off; 3 days on, 3 days off from 5 pm to 5:30 am. Training will be during the day, 12 hours but willing to adjust to a 4-10 schedule for the training period.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
