The Machine Operator will set up and operate Horizontal pouch machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Perform mechanical adjustments, changeovers and perform preventive maintenance in a timely manner. When necessary, Maintenance support will be provided.

Job Expectations:

 Experience operating a horizontal form fill machine and high-speed equipment.

 Experience operating/calibrating and adjusting Mettler Toledo scale systems.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe

work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

 Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple

pieces of equipment.

 Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal

unplanned stops.

 Determine the required materials, products, and resources needed.

 Read and follow job orders.

 Inspect the machine outputs for quality control.

 Provide detailed reports and logs on the work done.

 Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct

product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.

 Housekeeping, sanitation and GMP compliance.

 Keep up with safety requirements and maintain a safe work setting.

Qualifications:

 Analytical, technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.

 Attention to detail.

 Ability to work in a team.

 2 – 4 years of experience as a Machine Operator.

 Training and hands-on experience in safety techniques and requirements.

 Training and hands-on experience with specific machinery.

 Knowledge of various types of machinery operation.

 Trained to handle measurement devices and tools.

Physical Demands:

 Standing and walking entire shift.

 Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.

 Climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching.

 Must be able to work in tight quarters and hard to reach area.

 Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
