**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to support the 2nd shift supervisor. This role is a working Lead/Assistant Supervisor position. The ideal candidate will operate production machines, machine tools, and equipment used to roll, weld, cut, swage, and corrugate steel tubes according to specifications. **Responsibilities** + Operate production machines, machine tools, and equipment used to roll, weld, cut, swage, and corrugate steel tubes per specifications. + Set and adjust machine parameters. + Monitor and log raw material and tube dimensions, quality of weld, and shape according to specifications and quality control plan. + Place coils of steel strips in the Tube Mill machine and guide it through the Tube Mill Machine. + Spot weld steel strips for every new coil. + Change electrodes as needed. + Place corrugated tubes in tubs ensuring they are identified correctly. + Apply clearly prescribed standard practices, using several procedures with some decisions. + Communicate with other operators, team leads, supervisors, maintenance technicians, engineers, and quality inspectors. + Perform inspection and lubrication tasks on assigned machines. + Keep the work area clean and organized following 5S discipline. **Essential Skills** + Experience in machine operation and machine tools. + Proficient in using calipers and micrometers. + Minimum of 1 year experience in a production/industrial environment. + Basic mathematical skills. + Familiarity with machine control panels. + Basic computer literacy skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Potential to support and lead a team. + Basic measurement skills. **If you're interested in this position, please contact Melissa at (847) 580-2812.
