Priority Personnel is seeking an Extruder Operator for a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX.  Direct Hire with the company! 

Pay rate: $22.00/hr plus $1.00/hour shift premium 

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday/2:30pm-10:30pm

Job Duties:

Setup and Preparation: Select, assemble, and install correct dies, and calibrate machine settings (temperature, pressure, speed) based on material specifications and product requirements. Feeding Material: Load raw materials into the extrusion machine, which may include pellets, powders, or liquids, depending on the extruder type and materials used. Operate and manage extrusion machines to produce high-quality products efficiently. Monitor the extrusion process, making adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency. Conduct quality control inspections and tests, utilizing instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met or exceeded. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with extrusion machines, including clearing blockages and making minor repairs. Maintain accurate production records and logs of machine settings, maintenance activities, and quality control outcomes. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with the production team to meet production goals and enhance processes.

Requirements:

2 years experience as an Extrusion Operator or in a similar manufacturing role. Technical knowledge of extrusion processes and machinery. High school diploma or equivalent; trade school education is a plus.
