**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
Operate varying machines to produce products for the agricultural industry. Primarily operate large industrial press machines by using pedals and buttons to punch out or mold agricultural products. Load conveyor with raw material to go through an industrial oven to reach accurate temperature before being pressed. Once pressed, pick up heated material using tongs and quench product in a water solution to cool before moving to the finishing department. Meet production expectations using knowledge of routings, bill of materials, feed systems, and occasionally blueprints. Assist in moving material and/or products manually by hoist or forklift. Start machine and observe operation to detect misalignment or malfunction. Complete quality checks according to company standards. Clean and lubricate machines and tooling as required; may perform other routine machine maintenance once trained.
**Responsibilities**

**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with press brake, stamping press, and punch press operations.
+ Knowledge of machine operation, including CNC, router, laser, burn table, shear press, and saw.
+ Ability to work with steel fabrication, sheet metal, and carbon steel.
+ Proficiency in general labor, assembly, and inspection tasks.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with hand tools and tape measures.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
+ Experience with machine and press operation preferred.
+ Open to training the right candidate.

**Work Environment**
1st Shift - 5am-1pm. Candidates can choose to take a 30-minute unpaid lunch and work until 1:30, or a 10-minute paid lunch and work until 1pm. The facility is non-temp-controlled, which means it can get hot in the summer and feels nice in the winter. Employees take 10-minute breaks throughout the day, especially when it is hot, and switch job duties every 2 hours or so. The work environment is nostalgic, with some presses dating back to the 1940s, creating a unique work atmosphere.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Indianola, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
