Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** The primary function of the Machine Operator is to work within a team environment to manufacture specialty plastic compounds while consistently maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and our high-quality standards. **Responsibilities** + Determine production requirements by reading and implementing general and special instructions on each sales order. + Review and apply the manufacturing bill of materials to each sales order. + Prepare raw materials including any necessary drying, pre-blending, or staging requirements. + Prepare machines and equipment by planning ahead. + Ensure all equipment, including upstream and downstream, is thoroughly cleaned according to work instructions or special instructions indicated on the production schedule. + Set extruder operating parameters according to the manufacturing master reference set-up sheet. + Prepare production run sheet records. + Ensure operating parameters are tuned for maximum extruder performance throughout the production run. + Maintain a clean working environment by removing manufacturing debris from the floor and machine surfaces, and by cleaning work surfaces to prevent residue build-up. + Take immediate action to prevent and correct unsafe operating conditions and/or injuries. + Collaborate as a team player to assist all company employees in meeting or exceeding customer expectations and minimize interpersonal conflicts. **Work Environment** The work environment is a smaller, very clean manufacturing facility where you will work closely with extrusion operators and the maintenance team. The shift is from Monday to Wednesday, 5:40 AM to 6:00 PM. There is regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration, with normal exposure to moderate noise levels. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. You should be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, with specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Las Vegas, Nevada. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
