**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated and skilled Machine Operators for our packaging operations. We have openings for various shifts, including 2nd shift and weekend day shifts. This role involves the technical operation, set-up, basic adjustments, and performance maintenance of packaging and candy-making equipment. You will work under the direction of a Production Supervisor or Lead Person, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes. **Responsibilities** + Correlate production tallies with the Production Supervisor. + Oversee packaging and processing operations. + Maintain clear, open, and positive communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person. + Follow established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to ensure product quality. + Comply with company and OSHA safety policies. + Maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery, and perform specified cleaning at the end of product runs and shifts. + Provide suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions. + Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks as assigned. + Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as needed. + Maintain flexibility to perform any other duties requested, such as acting in various production roles. **Essential Skills** + Fundamental knowledge to read work-related material and follow directions. + 1-4 years of applicable experience to achieve technical proficiency. + Understanding of mechanical components and/or electronic controls of equipment. + Knowledge of chocolate composition and function, and troubleshooting skills. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to perform as a team member and support co-workers, company policy, and production standards. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED. + Production/Manufacturing experience preferred. + Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours per day. + Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25-50 lbs. as needed. + Ability to see information in print and electronic form. + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents. + Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints. **Why Work Here?** Join a fully bilingual facility offering direct placement with solid benefits. It is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, though not climate-controlled. Most of our products include well-known brands such as Hershey's bars, pretzels, and Unreal Coconut bars.
