**Machine Operator - Job Description** **General Summary:** Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations within the Production Department. This role entails adhering to all operating procedures, safety regulations, and company policies, and complying with local, state, and federal employment laws. **Pay Rate:** $18-24/hr (Must have batcher experience) **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Operate all dry blend mixers, sifters, packaging equipment, and other manufacturing machinery as needed. + Operate all liquid mixing tanks, mixers, pumps, and additional related equipment. + Make equipment changeovers and adjustments during production runs. + Clean all blenders and tanks after each batch is completed or as needed. + Read, follow, and accurately complete all manufacturing log sheets. + Complete production activities assigned by the production supervisor, including required overtime. + Follow safety rules and immediately report any incidents/accidents to the production supervisor. + Operate a forklift and obtain forklift certification as required. + Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). + Perform daily scheduled cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary work area. + Work on process improvement to reduce production costs by minimizing product waste. + Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, reporting all pertinent information. + Perform additional duties as assigned by production supervisor or management. + Comply with the attendance policy set forth by the ROHA Employee Handbook. **Job Specifications** + **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent GED required. + **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a production environment, preferably in the chemical or industrial sector. Mixing, blending, and weighing experience is preferred. + **Skills:** + Ability to work with minimal supervision. + In-depth understanding and practical experience with production and manufacturing operations. + Ability to solve problems using common sense and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. + Basic math skills, specifically converting kilograms to pounds and gallons to pounds. + **Other Requirements:** Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. **Work Conditions** + Ability to maintain concentrated attention to detail for extended periods. + Physically demanding tasks requiring standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for 8 or more hours. + Regularly required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 600 pounds. + Use of tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. + Work may require close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. + Non-climate-controlled work area with temperatures ranging from 20F to 115F. + Dusty and dirty work environment. + Fast-paced work environment with changing requirements based on customer needs.As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
