Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and experienced machine operators to join our team. This role is crucial to our expansion efforts. Successful candidates will undergo 4-6 weeks of training on the 1st shift before transitioning to their assigned shift. Our company processes very large spools of wire, primarily steel, to trim the wire down to customer specifications and add coatings or sealants. The wire produced is used for a variety of applications, including staples and fine wire brushes.
Pay rate starts at 20$ it may increase as per the employes tenure in machine operating.
ResponsibilitiesOperate digital controlled machinery and auxiliary equipment to produce quality products meeting customer expectations and production goals.Load raw material, feed wire correctly through machines, and remove finished products.Change machinery settings from one product or package to another. Perform quality welds using appropriate butt welders for different wire types and sizes.Conduct operator preventative maintenance on all production and support equipment as assigned.Maintain accurate production and quality records.Understand and adhere to product quality, delivery, and scrap measurements.Operate machinery safely, understanding all safety procedures and policies, and wearing all assigned PPE.Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure the next operator can work in a safe environment.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Take and pass OSHA-approved Forklift Training and maintain a valid forklift license.Adjust equipment for the most efficient and optimum operation with guidance from management and production supervisors.Participate in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as appropriate.Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Troubleshoot problems using standard problem-solving methods and direct support personnel in resolving issues.Apply common sense methods when performing written or oral instructions.Capable of pushing, pulling, rolling items, and lifting 70 pounds regularly and able to perform all essential work-related physical demands.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude.At least two years of experience working in an industrial facility with machine or production experience.Ability to read tape measures, micrometers, and calipers, and use the metric measurement system.Perform simple calculations (addition and subtraction of 3 digits) and use a calculator for more complex mathematics.Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.Troubleshoot problems using standard problem-solving methods and direct support personnel in resolving issues.Apply common sense methods when performing written or oral instructions.Capable of pushing, pulling, rolling items, and lifting 70 pounds regularly and able to perform all essential work-related physical demands.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with machine operation, lockout-tagout protocols, and visual inspection.Machine setup and welding experience.Safety certification and forklift operation experience.Technical school education is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our facility operates with roughly 12-15 employees on the 1st shift, including maintenance, and about 3-4 employees on the 2nd shift, including maintenance. The shop is highly organized with a strong focus on maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Safety-toed shoes and ear protection are required. It is a typical manufacturing environment where attention to safety and cleanliness is paramount.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $49920.00/yr.
