**Job Title: Machine Operator - 1st Shift** **Job Description** The Machine Operator will operate machinery that cuts and bends steel pipes for use in a fabrication shop, manufacturing industrial handrails and gates. This role involves moving objects into proper placement, using software/computers, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail and safety. If you have a passion for working with steel and fabrication, apply now! **Responsibilities** + Operate machinery to cut and bend steel pipes. + Ensure proper placement of objects for fabrication. + Utilize software and computers for machine operation. + Maintain attention to detail and prioritize safety protocols. + Work with various tools such as tape measures, calipers, and CNC machines. + Handle general labor tasks and work in a welding environment. **Essential Skills** + Experience with machine operation and fabrication. + Proficiency in using a tape measure. + Familiarity with Bend Dragon A400 and Star Technology benders. + Experience in grinding and working in a welding environment. + Computer literacy and ability to operate general production software. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift 30-70 lbs while moving steel pipes. + Experience in a fabrication shop and working with CNC machines. + Knowledge of reading and interpreting designs, drawings, or schematics. + Experience in welding and general fabrication is a plus. **Why Work Here?** You will have the opportunity to advance and be promoted within a team-oriented culture. The position is for the 1st Shift, operating from 7am to 3:30pm, with opportunities for overtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bernalillo, New Mexico. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
