**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operators for both 1st and 2nd shifts. This is an entry-level position, ideal for individuals comfortable working with older honing or lapping machines. The role involves operating grinders, working with small metal parts, and performing repetitive tasks with a high level of attention to detail. The typical workday will include standing in one spot and using no-go gauges for part inspection, as well as documenting basic numerical data.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate honing or lapping machines on 1st or 2nd shift
+ Stand in one spot to feed small metal parts into machines
+ Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail
+ Check parts using no-go gauges and calculate basic math
+ Document basic numbers and data
**Essential Skills**
+ Comfortable working around older grinding machines
+ No allergies to the oil used in the machines
+ Comfortable performing repetitive work
+ Ability to stand in one spot for extended periods
+ Comfortable working with small parts
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Machine Operating experience
+ Manufacturing experience
+ CNC or Grinding experience
+ Experience with gages, calipers, and micrometers
+ Understanding of numbers and measurements

**Work Environment**
The work involves standing for long periods and handling small pieces, so comfortable footwear is recommended. Our facility performs finish grinding and honing to meet a wide variety of specifications required by our customers. We hold extremely close tolerances on a wide variety of part sizes and material types. Shifts available are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
