**Job Title: Machine Operator - CNC Department (2nd Shift)**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our CNC department on the 2nd shift. The role involves moving around different departments and performing various general production functions, including assembly, machine operation, and quality control of small metal pieces used in medical surgeries. This position requires standing and performing repetitive tasks, with rotations every 2 hours to maintain engagement and efficiency.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate CNC machinery and perform machine operation tasks.
+ Assemble small metal pieces used in medical surgeries.
+ Perform quality control inspections on assembled parts.
+ Rotate between tasks every 2 hours to ensure task variety.
+ Collaborate with team members in a cell-based work environment.
+ Maintain high attention to detail in all tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in assembly, production, light assembly, and machine operation.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to stand for 8 hours and perform repetitive tasks.
+ Experience with inspection, blueprint reading, and assembly production.
+ Familiarity with CNC machinery.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Entry-level position; manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
+ Ability to use basic measuring devices.
+ Microscope experience is a plus.
+ Soldering experience or experience handling small parts is a plus.
+ Experience with button operations is highly preferred.

**Work Environment**
The facility houses about 70 employees and operates on two shifts. The 1st shift runs Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The 2nd shift runs Monday to Friday from 4:30 pm to 2:00 am. The facility is clean, with closely situated machines and a tight working space. We maintain visible standards and expectations, with boards and computer screens displaying goals and actual output. Teamwork is highly encouraged.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.13 - $21.38/hr.
