**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packaging products as they come off the press, as well as performing various tasks to support press operators and maintain pressroom efficiency. This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and hand dexterity. **Responsibilities** + Inspect product as it comes off the press at maximum press speeds. + Package product as it comes off the press at maximum press speeds. + Wash ink pumps, ink trays, and chamber blade units, and place them on the appropriate storage carts. + Maintain the ink pumps, hoses, ink trays, and chamber blade units. + Clean and lubricate portable press accessories such as fanfolders, sheeter tables, and turret rewinders. + Clean the presses and press areas. + Assist press operators in wash-up and set-up. + Cut cores. + Perform general pressroom housekeeping. + Complete any other tasks as requested by the Press Operator or Supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical inclination and hand dexterity. + Ability to read and write. + Basic computer skills (input and read data). + Stamina to stand all day and perform essential duties. + Ability to lift 25-30 lbs. + Desire to grow and advance within the company. + High school diploma or GED. + Manufacturing experience. + Machine operating experience. + Experience with set-ups and adjustments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Flexographic machine operating experience can lead to higher pay rates. **Why Work Here?** Candidates will receive in-depth training on Flexographic Machines and have the opportunity to become a certified pressman. The manufacturing area is loud when all Press Machines are running, so ear plugs are provided. The entire facility is climate-controlled, and the manufacturing floor has machines in rows, producing labels and tags of various sizes and styles. The owner and his son are highly involved in production and frequently visit the manufacturing floor, knowing every operator's name. Opportunities for advancement are abundant, with a clear path from press apprentice to press operator levels A, B, and C, and eventually into lead roles. All promotions and advancements arise from learning to operate new machinery. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
