Description Job Summary

The Packaging Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of packaging machines to ensure high-quality product output. This role is critical to maintaining production standards and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Operate packing machines efficiently, ensuring proper weight, seasoning, sealing, and date coding of finished products. Prepare machines for production, make necessary adjustments, and handle roll changes and former swaps. Adjust scale programs for optimal product flow, perform metal detector checks, and document findings accurately. Monitor and set up seasoning levels to ensure product consistency. Perform hand-packing duties, assemble boxes, apply stickers, and inspect packaged goods for quality and accuracy. Oversee food safety and quality standards throughout production and packing processes. Remove waste, maintain a clean work environment, and handle rework products appropriately. Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards. Work collaboratively with the team, providing support during breaks and shift changes. Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any issues or malfunctions. Physical Requirements Shift Length: 12 hours Standing/Walking: Continuously Lifting/Carrying: Frequently, up to 50 lbs. Climbing: Frequently, including stairs (up to 15 steps).
