**Job Title: Machine Operator in Altamont, IL**

**Job Description**
As a Machine Operator, you will play a key role in our manufacturing process by operating various machines, including punch and CNC machines. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of production while adhering to safety standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read tape measures using 1/16" and 1/32" increments.
+ Operate punch, farming, and CNC machines.
+ Move quickly to meet quotas while maintaining quality.
+ Assemble parts and load/offload paint line parts.
+ Utilize small power tools such as drills, electric screwdrivers, and staple guns for assembly.
+ Assist with cleaning, mopping, and organizing the workspace.
+ Transport small parts on wheeled carts.
+ Perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Lift up to 50 lbs.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read tape measures accurately.
+ Experience with punch, farming, and CNC machine operations.
+ Proficiency in using small power tools and equipment.
+ Basic arithmetic skills.
+ High school diploma/GED or 3 months of related experience/training.
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
+ Previous experience with machine operation.
+ Ability to write simple correspondence.
+ Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group situations.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to hire position based out of Altamont, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.64 - $18.64/hr.
