**Job Title:** Machine Operator **Shift:** 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM **Pay 19/hr** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator responsible for maintaining and operating various machinery, including conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines. This role involves working with grinders, drills, and presses. **Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:** + Operate assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses. + Operate saws, drills, and grinders. + Consistently meet production requirements. + Maintain a clean and safe work area. + Pack finished materials into dunnage and handle loading and unloading. + Ensure finished workpieces conform to specifications. + Complete documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets. + Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and address issues during the shift. **Nature and Scope:** + Select correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instructions. + Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from the supervisor. + Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor. + Under close supervision, exercise limited latitude/independent judgment. + Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor. **Work Environment:** + Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. + Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
