Job Description:

Location: Clarksville, Tennessee

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring a Machine Operator in Clarksville, TN!

The Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the automated backing system. The incumbent uses computerized systems and mechanical ability to produce high quality bound books of various types and sizes. This operator must achieve and maintain proficiency in binding preparation by adjusting and calibrating equipment using computerized and conventional mechanical means in order to enhance productivity and quality. The Operator ensures that the correct work (pages) is produced according to a pre-set schedule, ready to ship for on-time delivery. Maintains accurate reports to track and verify production. Understands and uses, with proficiency, different types of glues, paper stock, and integrated processes. Provides preventive maintenance. In all aspects of production, adheres to and achieves results in accordance with productivity and quality standards.

The Operator coordinates issues involving repairs, parts, production defects, and systems problems with Maintenance and Bindery Supervisors. Keeps the area clean and hazard free and complies with all aspects of the Plant’s Safety program. The incumbent must be willing to move around the Bindery and perform any tasks/jobs needed to achieve production goals, as assigned by their supervisor

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the proper set-up and run of the machine. Maintains productivity at or above 925 units per hour through the Automated Bindery
· Be a leader on your machine and area. This includes making sure flow is running smoothly and the assertiveness to question possible problems with materials or other machine output that could adversely impact final product.
· Maintains equipment in exceptional operating order and performs/documents preventive maintenance on schedule 100% of the time.

Desired Background/Skills:

· High School degree or GED helpful.
· Good verbal communication skills.
· Previous production/manufacturing experience preferred.
· Must be a team player.
· Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
· Basic computer skills required.
· Must be able to learn basic handwork/repair on books.
· Pallet jack experience helpful.
· Must have excellent attendance.

· B: 7:00PM-7:00AM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday
· C: 7:00AM-7:00PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday
· D: 7:00PM-7:00AM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday
