Job Title: Machine Operator 

Shift: 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Pay 19/hr

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator responsible for maintaining and operating various machinery, including conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines. This role involves working with grinders, drills, and presses.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Operate assigned machines, including resistance welding, brake presses, and mechanical power presses. Operate saws, drills, and grinders. Consistently meet production requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Pack finished materials into dunnage and handle loading and unloading. Ensure finished workpieces conform to specifications. Complete documentation correctly for process monitors and production tickets. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and address issues during the shift.

Nature and Scope:

Select correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instructions. Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from the supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor. Under close supervision, exercise limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

Work Environment:

Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
