Machine Operator
What We Need: + Manage the day to day operation and maintenance of the hot stamp machine + Ensure materials are produced in accordance with quality standards to have a consistent scrap rate or less than 1% + Eliminate RGAs and Focus Claims by accurately marking, segregating and cutting defective material + Enter shift data in the TRS while also producing a schedule of materials with a TRS of at least 85% + Recognize pre-production problems such as raw material thickness, material defects, correct material type, etc. + Perform and record accurate quality checks + Analyze and interpret procedural documents, machine recipes, instructions and production reports. + Define problems by collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions + Calculate material and tool thickness based on requests + Correct necessary adjustments accurately to material recipes + Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Be Doing: Production Machine Operators run various machinery for the production of Gravotech products. The position requires good electro-mechanical aptitude and ability to follow operation procedures to produce products that meet quality standards. What You Will Need To Be Successful: + Minimum 1-year previous experience working in a production / manufacturing environment. + Must be capable of following standard operation instructions, guidelines, and procedures. + Basic understanding of mathematics including, but not limited to measurements, computation, and calculations. + Must be dependable and flexible to cover a shift in the event of an absence. + Proficient verbal and written communication skills. + Must have strong attention to detail, with ability to maintain quality standards. + Excellent teamwork skills; proactive helpful attitude and process-oriented mentality. + Must be able to keep work area clean and free of hazards. + Aptitude in mechanics and/or electronics strongly preferred. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push up to 60 pounds. The employee is frequently required to walk and stand for at least 10 hours. The employee may be exposed to static electricity while assembling materials. + High school diploma or GED. + Training in electro-mechanical concepts desired but not required.
