**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to operate conventional and computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to machine metallic and nonmetallic parts to established specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Use blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, or other specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of workpieces, setup requirements, and sequence of operations.
+ Apply knowledge of machining theory and procedures to the operation of various types of equipment and processes.
+ Use specifications, dimensions, and tolerances to machine parts and verify conformance of parts, working with tolerances within one ten-thousandth of an inch.
+ Monitor processes to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
+ Initiate improvements to processes, parts, tooling, and equipment.
+ Work in a team environment to ensure continuous process and quality improvement.
+ Conduct preventive and corrective actions to assure continuous process and quality improvement.
+ Ensure quality and self-inspection are performed as per prints and process documentation, using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and/or measuring instruments.
+ Ensure established objectives are met.
+ Ensure safe handling of parts to avoid damage to the product.
+ Ensure product and routing information is accurate.
+ Set workstation up ergonomically to avoid unnecessary movements creating fatigue.
+ Participate actively in instructions and coaching on the utilization of jigs and set processes.
+ Actively participate in the upkeep and cleanliness of the workplace and general area overall.
+ Perform routine machine maintenance as stipulated and outlined in the maintenance procedure manual.
+ Keep the workplace safe and free of dangerous obstacles.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years' experience in CNC machine operation.
+ 1+ years' experience in manufacturing or production.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with lathe and mill machines.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ High School diploma or GED with related machine trade experience.
+ At least 1-3 years of machining experience.

**Work Environment**
This position operates in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The role primarily involves standing for up to six or more hours per day, with some duties requiring sitting for short periods. The candidate must be capable of lifting 0-50lbs in the proper ergonomic position.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
