Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Focused on the setup and operation of commercial label inspector machines, including visual quality control. Operate equipment to slit continuous lengths of printed material into strips of specified width. **Responsibilities** + Receive job assignments from Press Supervisor or Team Lead; read job specifications and select correct dies, cores, and rewind method for the job. + Review job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed. + Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products. + Observe flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding. + Ensure quality of work to include color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped. + Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs. + Perform preventative maintenance on machines. + Remove or replace blades on inspection machines. + Complete paperwork for each job and package finished goods for shipment to customers. **Essential Skills** + Machine operation and mechanical aptitude. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. + Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales, and other measurement devices. + Regularly required to stand and frequently required to walk. + Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance. + Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Laser CNC/cutting machine operation experience translates very well. + CNC experience and manual machinist experience. + Any machine operation that requires a high level of attention to detail. + 1+ year of experience. **Why Work Here?** We offer paid time off and paid holidays, comprehensive and competitive medical, dental, and vision health insurance. We believe in rewarding our employees with performance-based salary increases. **Work Environment** Manufacturing environment in a large facility located in Mukilteo on Harbour Pointe Blvd. The shift is an overnight rotating schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off; 3 days on, 3 days off from 5pm to 5:30am. Training will be during the day, 12 hours, but we are willing to adjust to a 4-10 schedule for the training period. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mukilteo, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
