**Machine Operator/Batch Mixer - Bellwood, IL** Mid-shift $23/hr **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. The role involves operating GMP machinery, setting up machinery for production runs, and following standards and SOPs. You will be responsible for identifying the correct ingredients and equipment needed for runs, inputting information into touch screen panels, and feeding cookers with raw materials. Additionally, you will use controls to regulate temperature, manage raw materials, and diagnose mechanical issues with the equipment. **Responsibilities** + Operate GMP machinery + Check production schedules to determine the variety and quantity to cook + Set up machinery for production runs + Follow standards and SOPs + Identify correct ingredients and equipment needed for runs + Input raw material info, pump info, gauges, valves, and temperature settings into touch screen panels + Feed cookers with raw materials such as starch, liquid flavors, sugar, corn syrup, and gelatin + Use controls to regulate temperature, raw material amounts, and speeds + Diagnose and help resolve mechanical issues with equipment, working closely with the maintenance team + Operate a forklift to move materials **Essential Skills** + Experience with forklift operation + Experience in production, picking, packaging, and machine operating + Knowledge of general production processes, especially in the food industry + Understanding of GMP standards + Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a growing and dynamic work environment with a significant investment in our plant and employees.
