**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and changing over the paste machine to produce pizza sauce according to batch tickets. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and cleaning of the paste machine and other equipment, monitoring and controlling the flow of raw materials including tomato paste, spices, and other ingredients to ensure consistency, reading and interpreting batch tickets, weighing ingredients, making adjustments to machine settings, and recording production data. **Responsibilities** + Set up, monitor, and change over the paste machine to produce pizza sauce according to batch tickets. + Perform maintenance and cleaning of the paste machine and other equipment. + Monitor and control the flow of raw materials including tomato paste, spices, and other ingredients to ensure consistency. + Read and interpret batch tickets to make paste. + Weigh ingredients and add specific amounts of raw materials to each batch. + Make adjustments to machine settings. + Record production data including batch numbers, quantities, and any adjustments made. + Handle measuring and ensuring proper storage of materials. + Make adjustments and clear jams as needed. + Lift up to 50 lbs. + Perform visual and quality inspections. **Essential Skills** + Experience working within a foods GMP environment. + Machine operating experience, including making adjustments and clearing jams. + Paste/mixing experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + GMP experience. + Bilingual skills. **Why Work Here?** Competitive benefits and a 401k program. The facility is set up with toppings on one side (colder environment) and the bakery side (warmer environment). There are around 100 people on each shift, distinguished by helmet color. The environment is very clean, organized, and smells like pizza. Ambient temperatures in the production areas range between 40°F and 45°F. Work is Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays being mandatory if scheduled. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, wear safety shoes (slip-resistant) from day one, and adhere to a dress code that includes smocks, a hair net, beard net, hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, and non-slip shoes. Work activities include packing, stacking cases, sweeping the work area, lifting up to 50 lbs., loading ingredients on equipment, and being flexible to work in other areas as needed or assigned by a lead, supervisor, or manager. No jewelry is allowed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
