**Job Title: UD Line Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are a leading advanced material provider for the composite and protective markets. At our site in Charlotte, we manufacture soft armor and have developed technologically advanced fiber reinforcements and prepregs for over 60 years. We serve customers in the aerospace, defense, energy, industrial, and protective markets with operations in North America and Europe.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate all U.D. equipment including creel, chemical mixing, and UD line.
+ Mix water-based chemicals while following safe work practices.
+ Visually inspect products as they run and make adjustments to ensure fabric meets all quality and customer specifications.
+ Transfer products to the next process using hoists and/or pallet jacks.
+ Identify and repair machine malfunctions and troubleshoot problems, pulling in other support when needed.
+ Perform basic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
+ Enter data into the ERP system.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience as a Machine Operator, Machine Helper, or Machine Technician.
+ Ability to follow safe work practices while mixing water-based chemicals.
+ Skill in visually inspecting products and making necessary adjustments.
+ Experience in identifying and repairing machine malfunctions.
+ Basic preventive maintenance skills.
**Work Environment**
UD Line Operator: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm) on a 2x2x3 schedule. Any night shift will train on day shift (7am-7pm) for 6-8 weeks. The facility is very clean and climate controlled.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.27 - $22.27/hr.
