Job Description:

Location: Bethel, Connecticut

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a highly skilled operator to perform key phases of high-precision tube and wire manufacturing in the Bethel, CT area! Responsibilities including, but not limited to tube and bar drawing, heat treating, precision cutting, and centerless grinding. Responsibilities must be completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Responsibilities:

Assist management in scheduling and setting priorities for production orders.
Support maintenance and engineering in identifying areas for equipment, process, and documentation improvements.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Communicate effectively to optimize quality, safety, and efficiency.
Set up and operate machines for maximum efficiency.
Configure and maintain wire/tube processing equipment according to production schedules and quality standards, making minor adjustments as needed.
Operate multiple pieces of equipment within an assigned work area.
Perform in-process inspections and analyze data as required by work instructions, routers, and other specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments, pin gauges, laser micrometers, and other tools for inspections.
Document process observations, including dimensional and shape changes of the product, tooling, and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
Inspect drawing dies and tooling before and after use.
Maintain inventory of tools, fixtures, and consumables for the assigned area.
Collaborate with logistics personnel to meet on-time delivery, scrap reduction, and shipment goals.
Collect data to assist manufacturing engineering in improving processes, reducing scrap, and increasing productivity.

Desired Background/Skills:

Technical school or college degree preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Two to five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Windows-based PCs and applications such as Excel and Word.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production work instructions, routers, and specifications.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information and respond to questions from operators, upper management, and auditors.
Spanish language skills are not required but would be an asset.
Experience with metal tube and wire drawing and centerless grinding is a plus.
Knowledge of Nitinol material is a plus.

Shifts: 1st (7:15am to 3:15pm) 2nd (3:15pm to 11:15pm)
