**Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant - Swing Shift** **Job Description** We are the Northwest’s largest independent corrugated box manufacturer with a well-deserved reputation for producing the very best in packaging products on our state-of-the-art converting equipment. We are looking for motivated individuals who are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn and grow within our team. **Responsibilities** + Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment. + Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures. + Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center. + Read and follow order specification documents. + Consistently develop or enhance skill sets. + Work effectively with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations. + Follow all company rules and policies. + Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations. **Essential Skills** + Must be at least 18 years old. + Must be able to lift 50 lbs. + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. + Must pass a drug screen and physical abilities test. + Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline. + Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment. + Mentally and physically capable of performing at a high pace with a sense of urgency while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity. + Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure. + Strong attention to detail. + Ability to work overtime. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Manufacturing background preferred. + Good tenure in previous physical job roles if no manufacturing experience. + Proven reliability in punctuality and attendance. + Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to the team. + Ambitious with long-term goals. + Ability to ask questions and demonstrate curiosity. **Why Work Here?** As a family-owned and operated company, we value our employees and offer numerous opportunities for career advancement. Our plant manager is committed to rewarding hard work and dedication with financial recognition. **Work Environment** Our facility operates on a day shift from 5AM - 3:30PM and a swing shift from 3:30PM - 2:30AM, Monday through Thursday. Overtime may be required on Fridays, occasionally extending to weekends. The facility is large and experiences temperature fluctuations, being hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Employees must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and comfortable working in such conditions.
