**Machine Operator Assistant - Weekend Shift** **Pay: $24.30/hour** **Job Description** We are Northwest’s largest independent corrugated box manufacturer with a reputation for producing the finest packaging products using state-of-the-art converting equipment. Our ideal candidates focus on safety, pay attention to detail and quality, work with urgency, and exhibit reliability and a positive attitude with eagerness to learn and contribute. **Responsibilities** + Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment. + Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures. + Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center. + Read and follow order specification documents. + Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set. + Work effectively with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations. + Follow all company rules and policies. + Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and write in English. + Mechanical inclination and ability to learn new skills within a standard timeline. + Comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to perform at a high pace with a sense of urgency. + Strong attention to detail. + Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure. + Ability to work overtime. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. + Authorized to work in the U.S. + Pass drug screen and physical abilities test. **Why Work Here?** We offer a family-owned and operated environment with opportunities for growth and advancement. The weekend shift runs from Friday to Sunday, 6 AM to 6:30 PM, where you work 36 hours and get paid for 40. Occasionally, mandatory overtime on Fridays is required, which can be 8 hours.
