Machine Operator - Barrel Plating
**Job Title: Machine Operator - Barrel Plating** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The role primarily involves operating and monitoring barrel plating equipment to ensure adherence to quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing environment. **Responsibilities** + Operate and monitor barrel plating equipment effectively to meet quality and performance standards. + Make necessary chemical additions and replace anodes as needed. + Accurately follow barrel plating process flow to ensure appropriate quality of product and process. + Startup and shut down the barrel plating line and operate the control panel following standard work procedures. + Perform weekly and monthly preventative maintenance activities, including weekly tin tank change-outs using vacuum, hoses, brushes, and power tools. + Collaborate with the wastewater coordinator for operations related to barrel plating. + Accurately complete all required paperwork. + Perform SAP confirmations and print labels using a desktop computer. + Monitor the quality of parts produced by performing visual inspections to identify defects. + Actively support and/or participate in 5S, EHS, Quality, and GLSS programs by following approved practices and procedures, performing clean-up activities, and recommending improvements to management. + Fulfill responsibilities and authorities detailed in any control plan associated with this position. + Train in vibratory and annealing processes and rotate in both areas as needed. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. + Able to use necessary quality tools related to the position. + Able to operate safely in a high-pressure environment. + Proactive and capable of working independently with limited supervision. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Able to lift and transport up to 50lbs and stand throughout the duration of the shift. + Willingness to work regularly scheduled hours with overtime as needed. + Flexibility to work alternate shifts as required. + Working knowledge of SAP and basic computer skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior plating operations experience is preferred. **Why Work Here?** We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow and develop their skills. Regularly scheduled hours with potential overtime and alternate shifts are required. The role involves the use of quality tools, SAP, and basic computer skills. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pinellas Park, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
