Responsibilities Performs CNC machine operations such as: proper set-up and calibration proceduresDetects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisorMaintains specification by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tolls; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processesMaintains work area and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; informing manager of repair needs, when requiredDocuments actions by completing production logsAccomplishes company goals by meeting department goals and daily work requirements within established time frameUtilizes cut lists and/or drawings to ensure that finished parts are correct size and colorLoads and uploads materials properly, in accordance with established company guidelinesProperly disposes of scrap materials from cutsResponsible for learning to run BeamsawResponsible for cutting remakes on BeamsawReports damaged/defective parts by competing Remake Log SheetCleans dust collector bags before shift endsAdheres to guidelines established by the Safety Director, including wearing of safety glasses at all times in the shop and wearing ear plugsAssists on other projects as required by manager Qualifications High school diploma or GEDTwo-years of experience machining; or at least one-year Vocational/Technical School certification/apprenticeship program; or equivalent combination of education, experienceAbility to perform basic mathematical functions such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the EnglishMust be at least 18 years of age
