Production Supervisor
Your role and responsibilitiesAdhere to all safety requirements and company policies.Fabricates raw steel/copper to produce a finished product to the internal/external customer expectations.Reads blueprints or similar documentation, then fabricates components to those specifications.Uses various machines (Automated and/or Manual) to accomplish assigned tasks.Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.Performs equipment preventative maintenance and performs basic repairs when needed.Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; reports need to supervisor as required.Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the roleHigh school diploma or equivalent required2 years’ experience operating automated punches, lasers, or robotic/NC press brakes in a fabrication department. Trumpf, Salvagnini, Amada, Cincinnati, and Ehrt brands preferred.Ability to use and interpret inspection tools – tape measure, calipers, and protractorAbility to read and interpret engineering bill of materials, machining drawings and models.Preferred 3 plus years’ experience operating automated punches, lasers, or robotic/NC press brakes in a fabrication department. Trumpf, Salvagnini, Amada, Cincinnati, and Ehrt brands preferred.Advanced analytical skills to enhance problem solvingAdvanced computer skills, mathematical skills, and communication skillsExperience training others to operate fabrication equipment.Knowledge of 6S – sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, and safetyKnowledge and use of necessary PPEAbility to use cranes, fork trucks, or other lifting devices, as neededAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 40lbsAbility to speak, read, and write the English Language and good communication skills.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic instructionsBasic computer and mathematical skillsHand, eye coordination skills and use of both handsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
