Entry Level Machine Operator(Multiple Shifts Available)Job Description

We are seeking a Machinist Trainee who will be trained to set up and operate CNC machines, manual mills, and manual lathes to produce precision parts efficiently. You will work closely with a trainer to learn each step of the machine operation process.

ResponsibilitiesPosition and fasten work piecesAlign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machinesSelect appropriate tools and materialsMachine parts to specificationsSet up, adjust, and operate basic machine toolsCalculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and gaugesRead and understand gauging sheetsRead and interpret blueprints and ensure machines and tooling are operating correctlyComplete onboarding processes including the 5S program, hazard assessment, logging in and out of jobs, safety procedures, and data sheet systemsPractice safe lifting techniques and use hoists appropriatelyTake detailed notes for future referenceEssential SkillsStrong math skills, including converting fractions to decimalsMechanical aptitudeAbility to use a tape measure accuratelyTrainable with a good attitudeExperience in machine operationProficiency with hand toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsWhy Work Here?
