Work Arrangement: Onsite

Work Location: 90 Belfield road, Etobicoke M9W 1G4

Shifts Available: Day shift is 40hrs/wk (Monday - Friday; 6:30am - 3pm)  

As a Machine Operator, you will:

Set up, adjust and operate CNC machines (TC5000, Laser, Brake Press, Form Brake etc.) according to work orders and specifications with minor programmingUse manual pump trucks, cranes (overhead / jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s)Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as neededEnsure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, target plans and verify correct run quantitiesVisually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as requiredOptimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine’s operating timeFilling out production boards with output for the shift as well as assisting in planning afternoon shift productionMaintain cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices

Who are we looking for? Someone who has:

High school diplomaMinimum 3 months experience as a CNC Machine OperatorMinimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environmentThe ability to read and interpret blueprints and use calipers, micrometers, go no-go gauges, etc.Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterityGood communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to lift up to 22 lbs.
