Machine Operator Helper
**Job Title: Machine Operator Helper** **Job Description** Candidates will be working in a facility that manufactures stainless steel tubing. They will start out in one part of the process that is less technical, but if they catch on and show initiative, they will be moved around to more technical areas to learn the machines. The different areas include ovens, straighteners, and saws. They will assist and learn the operation of these machines while performing manual labor throughout the process. This is a labor-intensive job, and they will be on their feet all day. There are times they have to move, shove, push, and pull the tubing to ensure the machines are set up correctly. **Responsibilities** + Assist in various stages of the stainless steel tubing manufacturing process. + Operate and learn to operate machines such as ovens, straighteners, and saws. + Perform manual labor, including moving, shoving, pushing, and pulling tubing. + Receive a bundle of product with a work order and follow the instructions to complete tasks. + Input completed task information into the computer system for the next step. + Ensure machines are set up correctly for the production process. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing role. + Ability to understand work orders and manufacturing processes. + Mechanical manufacturing experience or machine operating experience. + Experience with micrometers or calipers is a plus. + Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work on their feet all day. + Open to working both 1st and 2nd shifts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a machine operator, assembly worker, or production worker. + Ability to explain in detail the type of work done and the machines operated. + Comfortable with in-person or Facetime interviews. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team in a large manufacturing facility where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in different technical areas. It can be very loud or hot depending on the area you are working in. The job requires working on your feet all day and lifting up to 50lbs. The 2nd shift runs from 2pm-12:30am, Monday to Thursday with some overtime on Fridays, and the 1st shift for training is from 4am-2:30pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
