Job in a Nut Shell:
The Machine Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of food packaging equipment at the Distribution Center. Machinery includes, but is not limited to, bulk foods, baggers, and labelers.

Main Ingredients
Sets up and adjust processing and packaging machines prior to daily operationConverts raw material into finished goods according to production scheduleCompletes necessary documentation for changeovers, cleaning, and product specificationsMaintains standard efficiency and accuracy with machine operation and labelingVerifies all labelsMaintains shift log of production and other dataRecords production metrics such as quantity, weight, size, date and type of products packagedChecks products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standardsMaintains production machinery and performs routine cleaning, corrective adjustments as necessary, and troubleshootingResponsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filledReports all problems with machinery to Production Supervisor/Lead OperatorPerforms all tasks in a manner that promotes safety of employeesPerforms all tasks in compliance with Food Safety standardsFollow all SSOP's, Allergen and HACCP standards.Maintain shift log of production and other dataClean machines daily to maintain an organic and allergen/sanitary environmentAlthough this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be ''hands on'' and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.
Qualifications

Minimum 1 years recent experience in operating food production machineryHigh School degree or equivalent is requiredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production preferredAbility to read, write and speak English clearly and conciselyMust be able to meet daily deadlinesMust have good attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughnessBasic computer skills requiredMust be team-oriented and flexible to changing demandsAbility to work with others in a fast-paced team environmentMust be reliable and on time every dayAble to work in seasonally warm or cool environmentMechanical aptitude/skills preferred

Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to frequently grip, bend, twist, and turn.
Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, squat, kneel, and reach above chest as needed.
Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
